How Curelator works
Curelator is the migraine diary you always wish you had had. It’s simple, but it uses data in a powerful way to give you actually useful information.Headache and Migraine News, Jan 11 2016
Unlike paper diaries or “apps” where patients record volumes of data and try to guess their migraine triggers, Curelator's analytical engine objectively measures the impact of various factors on each individual user and allows them to “test” behavioral changes that may reduce the number or severity of their attacks.
Curelator Headache users spend only 2-3 minutes a day tracking more than 70 migraine-related factors for 90 days, using an iPhone or iPad. It is important to track every day to discover which factors may lead to healthy days vs. migraine days.
A novel Visual Migraine Language™ (VML) Curelator developed with leading migraine neurologists on our advisory board makes data entry fast and fun.
After 90 days, users receive 3 sets of maps based on an analysis of their data: Protector, Trigger and No Association Maps™, and a Personal Analytical Report they can share with their physician.
Talking about the new area of “migraine protectors” In this web-interview with Carl Cincinnato of Migraine World Summit, Alec Mian, Ph.D. explains how Curelator Headache may help each individual user identify their personal “protectors,” factors associated with reducing their risk of migraine attack.
Visual Migraine Language™ (VML): simplified data entry
VML translates more than 70 migraine-related factors into icons that make data entry fast and easy, compared to text-based interfaces.
The Personal Analytical Report incorporates each patient's maps and provides visualizations of all of their tracking data, including: Monthly Summary, Calendar, Menstruation Diary (if applicable), MIDAS/PedMIDAS scores and Monthly Disability Scores. See Personal Analytical Report PDF sample.
